Founding Product Marketer

We're looking for a Founding Product Marketer to act as the connective tissue between product, sales, and the market. You'll own our voice and make it resonate with technical founders and security-conscious buyers. This is a hands-on role where you'll set strategy but spend most of your time executing, building positioning and go-to-market from scratch as we scale.

What you'll do

  • Define and evolve how Bastion is understood through high-quality storytelling across our website, product, sales materials, and beyond
  • Plan and execute product launches, write changelogs, and frame new features in a way that drives engagement and understanding
  • Build sales collateral and narratives that help the GTM team close deals faster and with more confidence
  • Partner with founders to amplify their voices and translate our product roadmap into opinionated, high-signal content
  • Own the marketing site's content, build new pages when needed, and ensure our story shows up clearly wherever people encounter Bastion
  • Keep product, growth, and sales tightly connected, localizing what works across markets

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience marketing technical B2B SaaS products, ideally as an early hire at a high-growth startup
  • Strong product marketing instincts with the ability to make abstract features understandable and desirable without dumbing them down
  • Exceptionally clear, confident writer who can speak to technical and business audiences alike
  • Track record of building positioning and go-to-market from scratch
  • Hands-on operator comfortable setting strategy but spending 80% of time executing
  • Experience collaborating with technical teams and product-led organizations

Nice to have

  • Experience with security, compliance, or developer tools
  • Deep understanding of the enterprise security and compliance landscape
  • Prior success as one of the first marketing hires at a company that found product-market fit
  • Experience in growth, brand, or content marketing
